My dilemma was solved when I saw this one commercial.

When my children needed to get shoes for their performance in the Christmas play at school they were required to wear dress shoes for the performance. They did not own any pairs of dress shoes and I did not want to spend that much money on a pair of shoes for them that they would only wear one time. A commercial from production companies in Orlando came on that gave me a great idea of how to solve this dilemma. The commercial was showing a pair of shoes at this one shoe store that were dressy enough to be classified as dress up shoes yet tough enough that they qualify for gym shoes.
